High Sierra 10.13.2 cannot find my audio device

Looks like 10.13.3 has just been released. Just wondered if anyone has tried it yet, and whether it makes things any better or any worse with the FastTrack Pro issue? (Apple Engineering may or may not have looked at this. The manager I spoke to acknowledged it wasn't particularly good that 10.13.2 was supposed to improve 3rd party USB audio compatibility but apparently did the opposite for the FTP, and said it might be something that may be addressed in future releases.)

FYI, if you read the entire thread, you'll see that the FTP was working fine on 10.13.1 without any special drivers. With 10.13.2 that was no longer the case, and now a lot of music producers here aren't particularly happy.

Changed the steps to be more clearly..... sorry!! ;-)

1. install the included mbox-driver

2. install the included fasttracks pro-driver

3. delete like written on the folder

4. exchange/drag like written on the folder

I prefer to insist: it's not a Fast Track Pro driver problem. I believe It's a core-audio usb drivers problem, since this updates change something that not recognize our M-Audio FTP. It's working for me even on High Sierra 10.13.0 (without this OSX Support by Avid/M-Audio). The latest drive from Avid 1.9.5 installing well, and configuration panel has installed fine too, for me. But the problem is: the audio device isn't recognized anymore in my case.

I will wait one or two moths for any solution... other way I need to buy another audio interface to keep working with music. =(

Apple had nothing to do with dropping support for that "older thing". M-Audio dropped the support for their "older thing". Just saying. 😎

I'm in the same "I wouldn't have bought my Focusrite Scarlett if I'd known" boat too. But let's be honest: support for the Fast-Track Pro was dropped ages ago...it's just a matter of time before it ceases to work again.

Hi, i had the same problem. Updated to mac os 10.13.3 and the m-audio fast track pro doesn't work. I tried to contact the avid but they are mercenaries, you have to pay to get information. I'll never buy or get any products of this company anymore. I suggest you to contact apple at chat support and communicate this problem, the person with i spoke on chat said that i was the only one that mentioned this problem. So, if we make a complain at apple chat support i believe they make some changes at the next update. I don't trust in avid or m-audio anymore.

Have just joined the beta program, 10.13.4 beta 4, and the Fast Track Pro is recognised, but isn't working properly: no ability to set input levels, controls greyed out in Garageband, Audio MIDI Setup, Logic Pro. Anyone else having same issues?

Having exactly the same issue on my MacBook Pro 15" Late 2013. My M-Audio Fast Track Pro is not recognized anymore since updating High Sierra to 10.13.2. Great USB audio compatibility improvement!

Apple is not going to fix the Fast Track Pro driver.

There's nothing wrong with the "Operational System". The Fast Track driver fails to work with it now. It's only sheer luck it worked as long as it did.

I remember upgrading to El Capt. fast track pro wasn't supported. Someone figured out all that needed to be done was move a couple files to a new directory. That hack worked all the way up to 10.13.1.

I would hope that making the driver work for 10.13.2 would be a easy task for someone who knows audio drivers. If anyone remembers where to find the old hack maybe we could contact that guy.

Is there an Apple support e-mail where we can all send them this issue - maybe this way they'll work on a Fix. How can I be sure if I buy a new audio device, that will work next year?! It's frustrating! ://
