Why is my GPS not working on iPhone X?

I have the same problems with my iphone x. I reset everything and restore it to factory as if it was a new phone and nothing. Went to apple and they gave me a new phone but problem is still there. It can’t be because of location because my wife’s gps works fine and she also has x. They need to fix this right away because I didn’t pay over a grand for faulty merchandise. Here’s a picture of my waze.

I have the exact same problem in Waze and in GPSDiagnostic: no GPS/no sattelites.

Does Apple Maps work with the GPS?

We ourselves are aware of so many cases when GPS not working on 6/7/8/X, Apple can't not know...

Whenever I launch google maps it will find the destination but when I punch start button the arrow will not maintain accuracy with the direction and the speed of the car. I reset the network as weel as the privacy in setting and didn’t resolve the problem I have IPHONE X and my system is updated to the latest release

As iOS11 is known to have an adverse effect on the battery I wonder what a battery change will do. I'm waiting for the Apple Store to call me when my new battery arrive and will report afterwards (if I did not throw the phone out of the window before then).

Now I wonder do all people having GPS problem with their iPhones use Waze?

My gps on iPhone X keeps giving inaccurate positioning £999 and it still doesn’t work properly. I have the latest iOS and location services are on. I have to keep rebooting the phone to get the GPS to shoe correct location but after 30mins it goes wrong again.

Glad this worked for you but your explanation doesn't really make a lot of sense. I've had my wifi on and off and it changes nothing. Would love to see a video of this in action and whether it still works after the first 5 minutes or after you left your house. Not saying it doesn't but having wifi on or off is right there on the slide down settings screen and mine was typically on by default. Additionally, if you have your wifi on and aren't connected to any network, how's it helping? Please let us know more information, provide pictures, do a youtube video or something. Thanks.

I'm running 11.2.6 and just got me series 3 watch 2 days ago, and Maps once i started directions couldn't find me either. shut the app down multiple times and restarted the directions and same issues.

Ive actually been having the same issue for several months now. I have taken my first iPhone X back to Apple and got it replaced with a new one. I was told it has to be that my SIM card was outdated. Went to the att store and replaced the SIM card and still having the same issue with 2nd iPhone X and new sim. Anyone get this fixed yet? What else could it be if software was ruled out when I restored phone and set as new. Not a hardware since I’ve replaced one iPhone X already. Replaced SIM card just recently.

might be a software issue. try updating. Or hardware issue. in order for you to work on the board, you have to heat the board. Separate it and make sure you have the reballing stencil so you can put it back. Test the GPS chip

I will try to put magnetic shield bettwen car dashboard and the phone and see if it resolve the issue. I don't think car electronic can affect GPS module but certanly can affect compas.

I bought my iPhone X less than four months ago, i have the latest upgrade, and make sure the location is on and programed my trip while connected to wifi. I own a Home Health Care business and it requires me to drive all over my area. I’ve noticed this is only with the iPhone X as my boyfriend has the 6 and his works fine. Mine will not even show me as moving, asking me to make a U turn when it wasnt necessary nor safe to do so. Actually, I recently had to buy a road atlas!

Same thing here its my X thats not working my girlfriend and my firends have different iphones and theirs works fine but my X ofcourse not! Is yours working today? I have everything set to allow my location and i have the latest software update so idk whats going on its been like months now without solution

Assuming he's being truthful about not hearing about this issue, now that he knows, what now? Are they gonna try to resolve the issue, recall the phones, what? Did he give you any info at all on how it may be solved? My phone never had this issue before I updated to the latest iOS so it has to be a software issue rather than hardware.

Those are simple troubleshooting steps and non of them solve the issue. While I thank you for sharing them, I believe the problem is something else. I think this is a system update gone wrong.
