Naah!
Thank you.
I was having the same issue.
GPS turned on correctly but maps not keeping up with me or drifting. Direction pointing opposite way etc.
I don’t use my phone on a mount as I have been a passanger in the car with this issue.
Your post made me think what was around me. I use my phone case to hold my bank cards which have a magnetic strip. Once I took my phone out of my case my gps issue was fixed. The magnetic strip must have been interfering with the gps.

You're welcome
This was pre-latest release however and for some time now...helped many.
You may want to contact Apple support however if you find your situation especially unique :)
Take care ~
I also have a 2013 Hyundai Sonata and an iphone x. I use a dash mount as well. Do you have any idea if this is the actual car affecting the gps and not a problem with the phone itself?
I’ve tried all their suggestions. I bought my iPhone on Dec 8, and it seems quite a few of us unlucky ones who did the same are in the same boat.
I did all of that, including getting a brand new iPhone X and that did not solve the GPS issues I am having on Apple Maps, Google Maps, and Waze.
Is it really related to vehicle? Exact the same problem scoured in my 2014 Audi A4L, but GPS works fine in my husband's car (2014 Audi A6L). Terrible iPhone X!
Do you live near a power plant?
Even worse (but less likely), what about aluminum smelting?
Please read the posts from AE0KU and my posts to him. Do your conditions match his 100%?
All of your above suggestions done over the last week with Apple support on the phone. Nothing helped.
I gotta tell you... I really hate mysterious solutions like what worked for you.
Great outlook. Enjoy your trip :)
Glad to hear it. It's unfortunate that you had to go through the aggravation. Oh well. Stuff happens.
Why is my GPS not working on iPhone X?
