I was having the same issue.
GPS turned on correctly but maps not keeping up with me or drifting. Direction pointing opposite way etc.
I don’t use my phone on a mount as I have been a passanger in the car with this issue.
Your post made me think what was around me. I use my phone case to hold my bank cards which have a magnetic strip. Once I took my phone out of my case my gps issue was fixed. The magnetic strip must have been interfering with the gps.
Yeah I have also that feeling that loads of us are having that problem, on many different models, but Apple does not (want to ?) acknowledge it.

I have had this issue as well, and have followed the instructions at the link. I’m still experiencing the issue.
It seems like your GPS is not working as for most of the people here. If your car is found at the start it's probably only thanks to GPS triangulation and wifi geolocation.

Why is my GPS not working on iPhone X?
It seems like your GPS is not working as for most of the people here. If

Same here. I have 3 cars. I only have this issue in my 2012 Hyundai Sonata.
Does it really work 100% in the other cars??
I’m having the same exact problem with my Apple & Google Maps app... Tried everything but still not working.
It also doesnt work in: fiat, VOlkswagen and mini, tried all of them 😢
I have upgraded to 11.3 and unfortunately the GPS in my iPhone X still does not work in my 2012 Sonata.
I also read all the fixes that 11.3 provides and there is no mention of anything related to the GPS problem.
I have exact same issue with my Sonata 2013 and magnetic holder. Everything worked fine with iPhone 5s,6 but after bought iPhone X facing the same issue.
