iPhone X Yahoo! email does not update

Was trying the above solution. Have tried multiple times but it always says that my imap username or password is wrong. I am sure that I entered the correct email and password. Am I missing something here.

I have the same problem as well. Yahoo mail totally works on my iPhone 6, I've read all the comments and tried all the suggested solutions, they all seem to be working for a day, then when I wake up the next day, it stops working. I have downloaded the yahoo mail app to check my mail now, but would like to go back to the iPhone Mail app.

Seems crazy ridiculous that my 3 year old iPhone 6 and 6 year old iPad would work fine, but the brand new iPhone X would not receive simple emails. How could this be Yahoo's problem when the emails work totally fine on my other apple devices?

Someone from Apple please address this issue!

That's already been explained.

There is nothing apple can to do 'fix' the problem because Apple does not have control over Yahoo's servers.

Are you telling me that Yahoo’s server would only not work on my iPhone X? Doesn’t make sense to me that my iPhone 6 and iPad are receiving yahoo emails just fine but my iPhone X aren’t.

So the iPhone X is always hitting a bad yahoo server? But my iPad and older iPhones hit “good” servers?

Or is Yahoo directing the X’s to bad servers in their farm?

Deleting credentials and re-adding them seems to help for maybe a day. Then it goes belly up again.

I have also deleted and re-added the credentials on my other Apple devices and they are still receiving emails without issue.

Or... Maybe this is all a ploy by yahoo to make us all use their app so they can push all those integrated ad’s in front of us.

I have been to lazy to switch off of Yahoo, guess it is time to start switching over to gmail.

Please don’t get offended but is this all you’ve got? Can we have some serious discussion on how to fix it rather then silly questions on whether my WiFi router is on? This is extremely frustrating as I can see my emails on yahoo app which I’ve installed for testing purposes as well as online.

My inbox caught on finally after 2 days but sent items from past three days are still nowhere to be seen.

I already had it on every 15 minutes so I don’t think that’s the issue. On top of this I am asked to enter my iCloud password every day which according to my phone is incorrect. I have to reboot the phone then enter the login which works fine for a day. Very unhappy with X and support.

This is happening for almost 2 months in my case. Upgraded from iph7 to X and honestly now i really realise that it is not worth it, apple dorsn’t care about its users. They aren’t serious at all.

I have done this twice and I am still having the same issue.

How do you turn off the security settings or provide for lower security settings?

I did your solution yesterday and it worked... but now today it’s back to not updating with new mail 😟 Is your fix still working??
