I updated to 11.2.5 (iPhone 6) last night. iMessages still come in in wrong order. Apple is losing it....
I contacted Apple and received following advice. Just be warned: You will lose connection and password to wifi, so be sure to be ready for that. (Although my phone found the wifi just fine after logged back in).
The order is important.
In settings, Turn off FaceTime. Turn off iMessage. Sign out of iCloud at bottom of name screen in Settings.
Go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network settings.
Once have reset network. Log back into iCloud. Turn on FaceTime. Turn on iMessage.
IF this is too confusing, call Apple tech at 1-800-MYAPPLE. Had to wait awhile, but got great person that walked me through. So far, this has fixed it.
After latest update (ios 11.2.5) I still have this problem on my iphone 6s plus. 😢. Very annoying bug.
Also updated my iPad to 11.2.5 to see if maybe there‘s the problem. iMessages still come in in wrong order. I‘m losing my temper.
I hope that you never have to face real tragedy.
Seriously Philly ??? Gotta get nasty on a message board ???
.
Happens with my phone and a few other friends too. All different iPhones. I’m new and asked a question about it but can’t seem to find my own question. Maybe someone knows what’s going on here.
Worked for me thanks. I thought my wife had ESP and was answering my question before I asked. Lol
I‘ve tried that one a few weeks ago after getting this annoying bug, but that only worked temporarily and cost nearly 30 Cents (€) for every iMessage activation SMS. I was pretty ..... about that...
I've noticed the same problem but iMessages on iPad are fine.
Same here, still present on iOS 11.2.5 on iPhone 7
I am also having this issue with all contacts in imessage when speaking in real time.
Same here - 6s + 11.2.5. This is really annoying
It's called Agile programming. Push out the code and fix it later. As long as it is released faster/cheaper.
The exact same thing for me. I just updated and started having the problem. If I’m not giving it my full attention I sometimes haven’t realized the person has responded.
iMessage - messages arriving in wrong order
