I am not sure Apple is looking at these boards. I think we should call support and officially log this issue. If they receive enough complaints I assume they will address it.
The issue seems to be resolved with the most recent update to iOS 11.2.2 My iMessages are nowsorting in the correct order.
I installed this security update today and so far it appears to have fixed the issue.
Has anyone else seen this issue resolved with the latest update of 11.2.2 ?
Yes, I posted this morning that it seems to be resolved for me.
Didn’t work for me - or at least only temporarily. Messages are still coming in out of order with iOS 11.2.2 for me.
There is nothing fixed in 11.2.2, also checked thelist of fixes and there is nothing like this mentioned. Just reproduced it. with my phone, iPhone 6 ATT.
Stop sending messages to clairvoyant recipients. 😁
Resolved it for me too on multiple devices (iPhones and iPads) immediately. None of the other suggested solutions worked.
Just updated to 11.2.2. Anyone know if this fixes it permanently? I turned on/off. Toggled the date/time and imessage too. Seems to be ok so far but waiting on more imessages to come in.
I updated to 11.2.2 the other day. So far it seems to have corrected the out of order message issue. Keeping my fingers crossed that it is permanent.
Absolutely not, I am already on 11.2.2 and still seeing this. I can reproduce this 100% of the time when rapid firing messages.
Ok, I take back that it worked. The 11.2.2 worked for 2 days and my messages are back to out of order AGAIN!
I'll be watching for it to revert -- so far so good though. I wonder if it only worked temporarily, because the phone went through a reset for the update?
Mine worked for a couple days. Texts are our of order again.
