Please make this go away! My lock screen is considered PERSONAL DOMAIN ... The reason we were given the lock screen background was to personalize our phone, and I, for one, do NOT appreciate APPLE taking the perogative to make it part of their own. I DO NOT USE ITUNES, nor is my phone a music device. Please remove this. Thank you!

I know what is on my screen, and I have NO music apps on my phone as they were all deleted. I do not use music apps ...still the 'Now Playing' controller IS showing with no music apps installed on my phone. It does not even show a song title on the controller as is should if/when a song is selected, it is blank. So ... I AM NOT playing music and the controller IS there. My only alternative is to wipe my phone and hope that another Apple glitch will be resolved by another radical response to an update that will 'improve' my joy of owning an iPhone.
I totally second everything you said here. Apple, please figure out a fix for this extremely irritating issue!
I have no music or sound apps playing and it still comes up - that’s crap. Make it stop.
Restart your device and see if the controller goes away.
If it doesn't, one of your apps is playing audio and causing the controller to appear on the lock screen.
If you're right, my music app is playing on its own and seems to be out of my control. I don't know know how to stop it.

Agreed! I do not want to reset all of my settings to correct this issue. Apple needs to come out with a fix ASAP. I get so irritated every time I look at my lock screen!
Thanks for the solution. It turns out that once I went to the notifications I was able to solve this annoyance. I don’t recall turning on that notification so that’s odd.., thanks agsin
Thanks. I did turn off my notification for music and thought that worked but it actually didn't. I powered off the phone and the the lock screen is back to normal.
This worked for me guys!!! I changed my wallpaper then changed it back and restarted my phone and it was gone!!!
I’m absolutely on the same boat as you and this music BS on my lock screen is so **** irritating, please do something about the s APPLE !!!
I found that if you go to Settings....Notifications....Music....and turn off the ‘show on lock screen’, it goes away. I got that from another post here.
