The microphone on my iphone 8 plus is constantly fading in and out. I may have a perfectly fine conversation over the phone for 10 minutes or so, but in the end I always end up having to switch to the speaker because the people on the other end can’t hear me.
Anyone else experience this? What can I do?
get a refund and buy a cheap android phone.

I went throught 4 six plus before they switched me to 8. The 7/8 all have same issue
I suggest to do a test with blocking the rear microphone between flash and camera with a finger to see it makes a difference.
Same exact issue with a brand new 8. So frustrating, especially when talking to friends and family on androids.
I am having the exact same issues of being told to repeat what I’m saying or that the other person can’t hear me.
Mine is happening on two new iPhone 8s and 7 that was a work phone. Not the carrier. I have ATT. Super frustrating. A basic function of the phone doesn’t function.

Yes the same issue - microphone fails or very bad quality.
