After each download in Safari I get this compass which is blocking part of the window view. I could do without it as it's useless and bothering. Any way to avoid this download compass without reloading Safari?

Here we are: if in Preferences/Files Download Location I select anything but Download, I get the Compass. No Compass if the Download Folder is selected as the File "drops" is the Downloads in the Dock.

Sorry but I haveno idea what the SandBox is ...
I don't think it related to the Download as I tried different ones.
So now I have a choice: use FF or Safari with Dowlnolads to Download 🙂
Yes, FF is not as "harsh", there is also SafariTechnologyPreview that does not have the issue; I don't like that one. FF in case of doubt. Or Waterfox (a different version of FF).
I just found out that adding a bookmark to the Reading list also "produces" a Compass image in Safari, with or without Downloads in the Dock....
yes the issue is gone again on my side also but I am not sure it's related to Flash Player as I erased it from my Mac
