Fixes for apple pay cash temporarily unavailable.

I ran into the temporarily service unavailable issue for the apple pay/cash options. both to set up and also to send money via apple pay over imessages.

These are the steps i took to fix it.

1. turn off apple pay cash on all the devices iphone/ipad/watch and turn it back on. (Settings->wallet and Apple Pay)

2. check the Language and Region ( Settings->General -> Language & Region)

3. Turn off two factor authentication in the Account settings from Mac or the Account info from iPhone, and turn it back on.

These settings check and resets should help you set up Apple Pay.

Once apple pay is set up you might still not be able to send money over iMessages. for this you might want to ask the receiver to request you for the money instead of you starting the initiation to pay. ( it sounds weird but thats how i sent money over apple pay.)

Your Apple ID information (such as name and address) must match the Apple ID on your phone

Steps:

1. log in to www.appleid.com (Manage your Apple ID)> check payment and shipping>click edit>check information>Do not place a middle initial after the first name area, remove the zip code extension> click save>do not log out just yet

2. Apple Device: >settings>go to the very top where shows your name and device> click on it> click name and phone numbers> the name listed should match the name in Step 1.

3. Apple Device> Settings>Wallet & Apple Pay>Click Apple Pay Cash>Set Up Apple Pay Cash

I am sharing this because after following all the online forums, it got me nowhere. I called the Apple and talked to the Tech that only deals with Apple Pay Cash, issues. They took me directly to the above steps and it worked.

4. If Apple Pay Cash works>Settings>Wallet & Apple Pay>Click on the Apple Pay Cash (with the picture showing the Apple Pay Cash card)>Scroll Down>Verify Identity and follow the steps in verifying your identity.

5. Log out from www. appleid.com

Let me know if it helped you out.

Thank you

Solution found finally! After trying a ton of listed solutions here and none working i finally found a solution... these first two steps im not sure if it helped or was just extra steps.. i signed out of icloud and then went to settings and reset the ipad... when it came back i set it up as new.. apple pay cash was now shown and avail and it asked me to set it up and verify my identify.. in the past i had verified so i am not sure but maybe this error is caused by some issue with verification etc.. either way i verified and it was set up.. i then connected to itunes and restored to my backup i made earlier in the day.. when it finished the restore apple pay cash was listed and simply stated it needed to be set up on this device.. set it up and now its working fine..

Sorry it did not work for you. I tried all the other steps which came from a different forum and all of them did not work.

I think it is best to call Apple Support. The above steps were provided by Apple Support and they directed me step by step having a positive result.

Another thing you can do:

>Settings>Wallet>Turn of Apple Pay Cash>Power off

>Settings>Wallet>Turn on Apple Pay Cash> Click Apple Pay Cash for Activation> Follow Steps

Worst case:

>Back up your Iphone and Restore from Back up

>Settings>Set up Apple Pay

Good luck!
