Apple Watch battery not charging fully
My apple watch battery is not charging fully overnight. Instead of showing 100% in the morning it is only showing 93%. I don't think I have done anything to make it slow down.

It sounds like this is a problem with the calculation to decide what % to display for the battery, rather than a problem with the amount of charge in the battery. Several users here report the problem is cleared by letting the watch run until it shuts down on low battery. While we don’t recommend complete discharge because it is not good for the battery if repeated, it does force the software into a reset which may clear stored battery parameters.
My personal choice and preferred first method would be to try a hard/forced reset by pressing and holding both buttons until the Apple logo appears and the watch begins to reboot. If it works this will be much faster than letting the watch run to shutdown.
Last week I updated the watch OS and for a while that seemed to fix this but, no. I checked this morning after my watch was on the charger for 8 hours and the charge is only 99%. I would bet that if I put it on my charging cable connect to my MacBook Pro that it would top it off to 100%. Still pretty sure that it is a software issue not a hardware issue.
Last night I updated my software for my apple watch. It was working beautifully, fully charging every day (the batter would run down to about 30% after all my workouts and other activities). I've had 2 other software updates with this watch and repaired to a new phone with no issues ever. However, after this last software update, it won't charge past 80%. I tried doing a hard reboot, unpairing the device and other suggestions listed in the community feedback. Nothing works. I'm extremely frustrated!
Right after I updated the watch it was back to 100% but for the last two days it has only charged to 93%. And there is no update needed. So I don't know what the problem is.
I have this issue too. Seems to only have been in the last month or so. I suspect it's a software issue. Would be great to know that the devs understand that there is an issue and address it.
I did the hard reset no good back at 95%. This is the second Apple 3 watch that I have had this issue with.
i Have the same problem. Power off the watch and restart fixes the issue but it come back every few days.

Thank you. This has saved me a two hour round trip to the Apple Store! Will wait for them to patch it.
I also have this Problem. Until recently the Apple Watch charged to about 95% over night. Now I am also down to a maximum charge of 93%. I am only using official Apple charging accessories and restarting the watch only helped for 1-2 days. I am using an Apple Watch Series 3 LTE, if anyone is wondering.
I wonder if it’s because I don’t let it run completely down so I’m going to try that and it it doesn’t work then I’ll go to the Apple store. I have the warranty on it
