ios 11.2.5 battery drain

Per Apple's push notifications, we updated all of our IOS gadgets (2 iphone x, 1 iphone 8 plus, 4 ipad pros, 1 ipad mini) to ios 11.2, and then to ios 11.2.5 in the past two weeks.

Since the 11.2 upgrade all of these devices have experienced gravely diminished battery life - maybe 2 hours - or 3 hours if the gadget is sitting without being used.

This appears to be a software flaw.

It's not something that can be solved by restricting the apps or dimming the screen, etc. We've done all of that to no avail. - And it occurrs over multiple, recently-purchased Apple hardware.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

I read an article somewhere maybe here on Apple, that this issue could be adressed to that a new ios the first few times after a new update has to work trough all stored data and hardware to be familiar/cope with the device. I my self had an experience, that my previous Iphone 7 last year once unexpectedly went warm without being used with the battery being drained alot at the same time. To me, it appeared that hardware and ios were making some kind of round-up inside my Iphone, and never minded it. After this it acted normal again, and todays electronics are almost living things, especially stuff made by Apple.

We have two iPhone 7. Since the upgrade to 11.2.5 the battery drops twice as fast. Sometimes it drains to 10% by noon. So basically in 3-4 hours. Even if I don’t use the phone. It’s just sitting there, on Wi-Fi, with a 10 min phone call and checking emails 2-3 Times. This totally new since the upgrade, before it lasted to 8 one 9 pm. No new apps, no changes in settings. Just the bogous update. Very annoying! Apple, please fix immediately!!! I am expecting better!

Ever since my iphone 7 updated, the drains my battery for no reason.

Example 1: my iphone7 shows 100% fully charged, I make sure all my apps are closed out, my mail does not fetch, I leave my phone on standby overnight, the next morning after 7 hours, the battery is drained down to 55%.

Example 2: iphone 7 shows 100% fully charged. All apps are closed, no alarm, mail does not fetch, I place the battery in "Low Power Mode" and overnight after 7 hours, the battery is drained down to 60%.

I never had any battery issue until I had the update, please advise a permanent fix, and no I am not getting a new battery or phone.

Same problem here with my 5s after latest iOS update. Normally I charge the battery before going to bed. And it's always at 100% when I wake up. But the last few days it was already down to around 85% not having anything running in the background except for the alarm clock.

Had the same issue a few iOS versions back, which apparently got fixed. Now it seems the same problem has returned 😟

This is my first iPhone, and for over 1,5 years I have been very happy with it. But now I'm not so sure my next phone will be an iPhone.
