ios 11.2.5 battery drain

Per Apple's push notifications, we updated all of our IOS gadgets (2 iphone x, 1 iphone 8 plus, 4 ipad pros, 1 ipad mini) to ios 11.2, and then to ios 11.2.5 in the past two weeks.

Since the 11.2 upgrade all of these devices have experienced gravely diminished battery life - maybe 2 hours - or 3 hours if the gadget is sitting without being used.

This appears to be a software flaw.

It's not something that can be solved by restricting the apps or dimming the screen, etc. We've done all of that to no avail. - And it occurrs over multiple, recently-purchased Apple hardware.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

I change my auto brightness in the settings so I have control over it and it doesn’t automatically do it anymore. But to no avail it really didn’t help much. My friend told me he did the update and started having problems. I wait a couple weeks and didn’t have battery problems until I went ahead and did the update and now my battery is draining much faster. What’s up with this apple??????

Yes I'm using a Galaxy Note 8 right now. It's surprisingly superior in both design and function to any iphone I've had (which is literally, all of them!). I imagine Steve Jobs would agree if he were here ... the only problem with the Note 8 is that it can't really sync with our Mac computers - i.e. contacts and calanders, etc - plus Apple wants to charge $5 a month to access my itunes library via an android phone. Its a bummer that, at present, it seems that I've spent thousands of dollars on the latest apple hardware - and that for the past two weeks the apple gadgets have all been worthless due to this battery issue. (We had the same problem with the iphone x and all of the ipads in November but it just mysteriously resolved.) The Note 8 software is a little different from ios and has a small learning curve for long-time iphone users like me - the Note 8 camera is just as good as the iphone 8plus or x and actually better in some ways. (I had a Galaxy 7 edge, briefly, last year and that camera was not as good as the iphone camera.) I'm not into the fingerprint or face recognition apps so I can't compare those. But I'd say that the Note 8 is the most beautifully designed gadget that I've come across. - which doesn't take away from the fact that I still want and expect my iphones and ipads to work as claimed
