itunes not recognizing my Iphone X

all the software updated and have the latest IOS, windows etc. However when I start Itunes (latest version again), it does not recognize my iphone X. Windows 10 does recognize it and shows as one of the devices attached to "This PC"

iPhone X, iOS 11.2.5, windows 10 latest OS.
