In the album view, you now can't sort albums by artist and then by year like before.
Now the albums seems sort by alphabetic order only.
(The image is in french but, you know what I'm talking about here. 🙂 )

The sub-sort options have been messed up for Audiobooks in the last few versions. Seems that has now leaked over into Music too. 😮😕 This is iTunes 12.7.3.46 on Windows. The View Options menu allows Artist > Year, but not the View > Sort By menu, which in the case of Artist only allows the one sub-sorting option that it shouldn't.

What version of iTunes do you have on your works computer? I have 12.7.3 on both my computers, one with High Sierra the older one with El Capitan. Both are the same.
I don't use Album view so I don't know if the functionality has changed or not. I suggest that you provide feedback to Apple Feedback - iTunes - Apple

I always use the Album view, and I always sorted my albums by Artist/Year.
Because I find logical to sort the albums in a chronological order for each artist.
It's only since a recent update that this option became unavailable.
I think it's since the update of High Sierra.
Because on my computer at work, I'm still with El Capitan and the sorting Artist/Year in album view was still available (see image).
It will be broken. 😟 Try using Cmd+J to set the sort order, what you want should be available when you go via that route.

You need to be in song view where you can sort by Album by Artist/Year. Does not work in Album or artist view.

The older version at my work (which is working) is 12.6.2.20
The new version with the issue is 12.7.3.46.
