Hello everyone!
I have around 100 ebooks in my iBooks app (in my Macbook Pro, running High Sierra 10.13.3).
Some books are .epub, others are PDF. I'm looking for an app that automatically adds missing metadata such as (year, author, genre, etc.) for my iBooks. Or that can look for the missing informaiton, without me having to look for it online.
Is there such an app? or maybe a script I can add to my iBooks app.

while in the iBooks app on your mac, select the List display.
from here you can edit the book name, author, collection and category by clicking on the relevant field. I also add the year after the title.
For me at least, next time I sync the iPad, these changes show up in the iBooks on the iPad.

I can edit anything I want in List view but once I hit enter all changes are lost and everything reverts back to original. For example I can't delete a Category name for a book, some books have absolutely irrelevant names in Category field, so if i try to delete it, once i hit enter the name just reappears.
Is there anything I'm missing?
