Yes. This is what did it for me. Mine are old. I had trouble with the right one not charging. Eventually it wouldn’t trigger the case either. I knew I had to get that amber flash for the reset but could not get it. Only white. The order of operations is important.
1. Not be in pIring mode, must be forgotten in Bluetooth settings
2. Both in case lid closed
3. CASE UNPLUGGED
4. Plug in case
5. Open lid
6. Hold button ~15 sec until amber flash, release
Should be flashing white now.
7. Close lid
8. Open lid and pair.
And BOOM. I have my right one back!!
Cleaning the case and/or pod connectors does not help. I have tried this so many times, I have lost count. I wouldn’t know about the charge because I cannot pair them with anything. Obviously, that is my original problem. Thanks for trying to help but this solution is not working for me. I would appreciate if someone could provide new solutions.
Only the left AirPods works so I tried all the usual tricks, putting it back in it's case, forgetting device, repairing. Only the left pod works.
When attempting reset, no amber light flashes, only white, so I can't factory reset.
i know!! my airpods weren’t connecting even when i charged them, so i’ve been online looking up what to do. it said reset them, so i did. except now they won’t turn on! and i’m not sure what to do because i removed them from my bluetooth! so now i’m scared i won’t have airpods anymore :(
My Air Pod Pros have developed a fault where the audio keeps swapping between the left and right ear bud. When I try to reset by holding the button down for 15 seconds, initially I get a green light that goes out after a few seconds and then nothing. no flashing amber or white light, nothing. Air Pod Pros won't reset. Any things else I can do.
I have the AirPod pros and think they are the worst things I have ever purchased. Only had them since end of May and endless problems - had the charging case chAnged but now it’s the other ear pod that doesn’t work and when I forget the device as the reset doesn’t work, the device doesn’t find them. You can’t just pop them in your ears and just go - no you have to fiddle about for ages to get them to work - extremely frustrating. Looks line yet more calls to support sbd a trip to an Apple store. Not what I would expect for the price of these. Very disappointed.
Mine only flashes amber and the left AirPod isn’t working but like if anyone knows what to do cause I have tried like everything anything you can think of I’ve tried my airpods just can’t be fix I don’t think I mean I paid a lot for them just to stop working after 3 months
I'm having a similar problem. My right airpod pro won't connect. I've reset my network settings, tried on 2 phones, turned bt on and off, forgot the airpods, restarted the phones, tried charging the airpods, and lastly tried to reset the airpods, but when I hold the button, the white light flashes slowly for about 10 seconds and stops. I've cleaned the contacts on the case and earpieces, but I can't get them to reset. I'd appreciate any help.
It seems like there is no consistency in these Airpod connection issues as I fixed mine twice but now they just will not connect no matter which method I try.
I think Airpods are simply not worth buying as they have too many very frustrating faults, and I think they should be recalled.
Same issue and the same no solution from Apple! Hours on the phone and literally 2 sets of replacement AirPods Pro's! Unbelievable! I went out and purchased an under $30 pair on Amazon to have something to use while I tried to fix the AirPod Pro's! Literally connected within 10 seconds of taking out of the box! What's wrong with this picture? Pricy Airpods Prop's can't be setup and or used with no support from Apple and earbuds a fraction of the cost work right out of the box! Steve Jobs is rolling in his grave!!!!!
This is the EXACT scenario I'm in! When I put the airpod it, the light will flash green, but only one will show up if I connect to my phone. I tried cleaning out debris both inside the case and on the airpod, but that didn't seem to be the issue, as the case clearly knows it's there, it just refuses to charge it. How exactly did you fix this? I'm at a loss.
Hey guys, im pretty new to this so I dont really know where to/ how to reply properly, so ill just do it here. So basically just now I left my phone in one room, while the right airpod was with me(the left one was still near the phone), seems like i got out of range of the phone I think, and the right airpod just stopped working. Left one works fine, but whatever I do the right one doesnt seem to want to work. They were both charged, any tips?
I have an issue with resetting my AirPod pro case , my light is green and no matter how long I hold it it’s still green and it won’t connect to my Apple Watch without my phone. And it used to I don’t know why it won’t now , my phone is broke and I can’t use it to pair my headphones to my watch
@devinsailors your answer was the only one that worked. Brand new AirPods and after weeks of thinking they are broken you saved the day. I was so frustrated and lost upset abd you really game a good answer. People like you are great
Wife's right AirPod (2nd gen) was chewed up by a dog. I bought a right AirPod on eBay. When I put it in the case and pair it with the iPhone, it will pair but only the left AirPods works. Even when I pull or insert the right AirPod out of case the light doesn't even flash. I have tried 2 cases and tried pairing with 2 iPhones and the right doesn't work. I'll stick my own right AirPod in either case and the light will flash. I think it may be a bad AirPod I bought. I also do not get an amber light
My AirPods stopped connecting to my phone, so I tried to do the reset and hold it for 15 seconds. But the green light just goes away and no other light comes on not amber or even white, just nothing no matter how long I hold it nothing happens. What do I do now? I’ve only had these for like 2/3 weeks now…
