But that never happens. I have the same problem as the original post, except my right AirPod won't work and they won't reset. I hold the reset button and it slowly flashes white, never flashes amber. I can hold it for 2 mins to no avail. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks!

I am shocked that this actually worked for me too!! I threw the non working AirPod down on my wooden coffee table about twice, and then inserted it in to my case. The light stopped blinking when the pod was inserted in the case, and then I was able to get the amber light when resetting the AirPods via the button on the case. Thank you for this abnormal advice!! I’ll take it!!

I am having this same exact problem. It is so frustrating. I went to the Bluetooth settings on my iPhone and “forgot” my AirPods, as so many suggest. Now I can’t even get my iPhone to recognize my AirPods through Bluetooth. It’s like they don’t even send out a signal anymore. My AirPods worked properly for about 1 day after purchasing them. Worst purchase I ever made.

The "No Blinking" white means that your Airpod wants to connect but couldn't

I asked apple customer service about it but they didn't know what it means and couldn't help

My left airpod wasn't working, so I pressed "Forget My Device" for my airpods. That's when I tried to re-pair it and all I see is white light with no flash. I manage to get it working by dropping my left earpod on my table a couple of times, put it in, hit it (or smacking or flicking it) down a couple of times and try to shove it in as deep as possible. After all that I tried to re-pair it hoping it would work and a red amber light started blinking. apparently my left earpod hasn't been working because it wasn't charged properly, and that caused the earpods to not able to connect.

Hope this helps anyone out there looking for answers

Ok so my right AirPod wasn’t working so I took both of them out and I checked the bottom of my right air pod (the one that was NOT working) and (lol this sounds kind of gross) there was some ear wax on it which might’ve blocked it from charging it was so small I couldn’t even see it without using my flashlight it was really small as soon as I removed that, my AirPod starting charging and it worked. Hope this helps.

I've been reading suggestions for this the last 2 days. I just couldn't get the amber light to come back on no matter what I tried. I finally tried putting a Q-tip and cleaning the bottom of the case as a few people had suggested (even though I've used these only 4 times), and a piece of white tissue paper was pulled out from the bottom. I don't know where it came from but as soon as I removed it the amber light came back on. I would of almost missed it too because it was barely visible on the Q-tip. It's worth a try. Maybe something while packaging is causing all these problems. Hope that helps. Good luck.

My wife's did the same thing. I looked all around and had no idea what to do because the AirPods wouldn't reset but would only stay on the "white" light after holding the button forever.

After looking exhaustingly, I finally found the answer: first, remove the AirPods and take an Q-tip and clean out the wells on the case then wipe down the contact points on the bottom of the AirPods with a wet wipe. Next, put the AirPods back in their wells and charge the AirPods to full capacity. Lastly, unplug the AirPods and now open the case and hold the button down on the back of the case. The white light will now blink then will flash amber three times after 15 seconds or so. They are now ready to be re-paired to the phone.

My air pods won’t work like I try to reset them they don’t flash white it’s still green then it turns off. I disconnected them from my phone I clicked forget. When I open the case they won’t appear on my phone. The reason I wanted to reset it in the first place was because the left one wasn’t working and sometimes the right one won’t work. Any solutions?

Well, after we got the AirPods reset, they continued to have the right one sometimes not work. I chatted online with Apple about it, and they said I would have to take them to a local Genius Bar. After looking at the AirPods, it was determined that the right one would have to be replaced and, so far, they are working well. The replacement was free because they are still under warranty.

I have a different story. With the same problem.

Can reset my ipods.

Strange thing was.

I could reset my case without the pods.

I coukd reset with either one of them inside. But with both this was an no show.

So I checked the firmware of my pods. And guess what different firmwares.

Thank you Apple for making this possible —- not.

for some reason my right pod won’t upgrade.

I guess when both have same firmware it will all work again.

But I’m not able to this.

I tried the steps for upgrade.

Case at an charger. Connected to my ohone.

It would have been nice to have an feature to update the firmware yourself. And not the one Apple has givin us right now. If you’re lucky I’ll do the update for you.

if anyone has any tips to fix my situation. Alll help is appreciated.
