Having issues making calls and receiving calls. This includes FaceTime too.
Can’t hear any ring while calling, neither the other person can hear me.
Can hear the voice messages on the phone.
Any help is greatly appreciated or is there any issues with the new iOS?

Actually, before you do step 2, try reseating your SIM card. Just remove it. Put it back in then restart your phone.
If this doesn't resolve the issue, reset your network settings.
If the issue isn't resolved, reset your phone. If you still can't call and receive calls, contact your phone carrier. Have them reset your network settings on the back end. If call functionality still isn't restored, I would recommend that you have your carrier replace your SIM card.

Please try the following things.
1. Do a hard reset. Hold the power and home buttons until your phone restarts. Keep holding both buttons until your iPhone restarts and you see an Apple logo in the middle of the screen.
2. Reset your network settings. Settings / general.
Scroll down to the bottom. Reset / reset network settings.
N.B. This will delete all of your saved wifi connections and Bluetooth pairings.
3. Reset your phone settings. Settings / general.
Scroll down to the bottom. Reset / reset all settings.

Glad that it's working now.
My apologies. With the iPhone 7 and newer, you press and hold down the volume down button on the left side of your iPhone while still holding down the On/Off button to do a hard reset.

Appreciate the quick response.
I tried the first step, no matter how long I press and hold both buttons it just takes a screen capture but doesn’t reset.
So, I just removed the SIM and put it back ( I powered down the phone first).
Now I can make calls.
