Issues with making and receiving phone calls

Phone: 7 Plus

IOS: 11.2.5

Having issues making calls and receiving calls. This includes FaceTime too.

Can’t hear any ring while calling, neither the other person can hear me.

Can hear the voice messages on the phone.

Any help is greatly appreciated or is there any issues with the new iOS?

Actually, before you do step 2, try reseating your SIM card. Just remove it. Put it back in then restart your phone.


If this doesn't resolve the issue, reset your network settings.


If the issue isn't resolved, reset your phone. If you still can't call and receive calls, contact your phone carrier. Have them reset your network settings on the back end. If call functionality still isn't restored, I would recommend that you have your carrier replace your SIM card.

Please try the following things.


1. Do a hard reset. Hold the power and home buttons until your phone restarts. Keep holding both buttons until your iPhone restarts and you see an Apple logo in the middle of the screen.


2. Reset your network settings. Settings / general.

Scroll down to the bottom. Reset / reset network settings.

N.B. This will delete all of your saved wifi connections and Bluetooth pairings.


3. Reset your phone settings. Settings / general.

Scroll down to the bottom. Reset / reset all settings.
