I purchased the iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015) about two month ago.
Enough 30 minute to start Eye problems: dry eye, strain, and blurry vision.
I purchased Imac because I thought this is a best monitor for my Eye, but result is Opposite.
Colors are perfect - but the Eye has so many problem after working 30 minutes...
I don't know what do.
Any idea?
If it is to bright, turn down the display brightness.
If things are to small, slightly lower the resolution to make things bigger.
If you wear corrective eye-wear, make an appointment with your optometrist and ask for advice.

Do so even if you don't wear corrective eye-wear.
anyone tried gunnar glasses?
blue light blockers - maybe it helps?
Personally I find that the yellowness in night shift makes it worse.
Might also be the glossy display...
I had one for a short time, but got rid of it and went back to "bring your own displays systems" with matte finish displays.
I using corrective eye glasses and one month ago I was in doctor for re checking my eye.
I am developer, I working 8-10 hour in other monitor and no problem,
but in home when i starting work with my iMac: Starts Eye problems
I change brightness;
I turned on night shift;
I change resolution;
but result 0.

Personally I do not have prescriptions, but at 62 I use 1.5 readers for small print and while in front of the computer.
Those should help, cut down on the glare and reflection. 😉
Look like that some people has this problems and why Apple does nothing.
Why the user must pay huge money and then detect this eye problems.
