Hiding images that you've already added
Is there a way to hide images in the My Media photo files that you have already dropped into the timeline in IMovie?
Mac OS X (10.3.9), null

Yes, you can hide a photo in the Media Library browser, that has been added to the timeline.
Add your photo to the timeline. Click on Library in the Media sidebar. Find your photo in the displayed library photos. Select the photo. Click on Mark/Reject. A red line will appear across the top of the clip. Then choose Hide Rejected from the pop up menu that appears just to the left of the seach feature icon (the Q:).

There is no way to automatically hide clips in the browser after you add them to the timeline. In the view menu you can select 'used media ranges' which will place an orange line under the clip in the browser once it has been placed in the timeline. If you really want to hide clips you have used in the timeline you can reject them in the browser and choose 'hide rejected' in the drop down menu at the top of the browser. This will hide the clips in the browser and not affect them in the timeline.
thank you!
it seems that the old version of IMovie had a way that you could choose that once you put the picture on the timeline it was no longer in your media feed.
You are welcome. iMovie 10 did make changes from previous version.
