Just want to give some feedback on the new iOS update “learning” which apps to pin to the dock on my iPad Air: it is a really annoying feature. Apps should be selected for the dock by the user. Hope you can make that change on the next update. Thanks.

Users can determine which apps to pin to the dock already. Just drag any apps you want onto the dock, and those you don't off the dock. The only exception to this are the 3 right most apps which are simply auto generated shortcuts for different events.
iOS learns what apps you use, and when you use them and suggests them in one of those 3 slots. Apps you generally use when plugging in earphones, or at a specific time of day etc...
If you don't like that feature, you can turn it off in Settings->General->Multitasking & Dock->Show Suggested and Recent Apps.
Outside of that, the Dock is fully customizable by you.

If I turn off the "Show Suggested and Recent Apps." option in Settings as described above, the 3 right side apps immediately go away. Leaving only the Apps I've placed on the dock:
That’s just it: I do have everything set the way you describe. Apps still auto generate and pin themselves. I saw an apple support discussion thread that said the learning function can’t be turned off at this time. Maybe a future update? Thanks.
