Setup failed -6722

Unboxed my HomePod, powered it up and heard the chime.

I then eensured two factor authentication, iCloud Keychain and Bluetooth were enabled on my iPhone 7 Plus running iOS 11.2.5. I held my phone near HomePod, tapped setup and after a long wait I get the error “Set-up failed -6722”.

Tried with my iPad and got the same result.

Now what? There’s no support article explaining the message. Not a good first experience.

I was able to get it working - I had to turn off my router's firewall temporarily. I then went into the Home app on my phone and reset HomeKit. This enabled it to complete setup. I have since switched the firewall back on and HomePod is still OK.

Same exact thing happening here. If I turn off iCloud, the Home app works fine, but if I turn iCloud back on, the Home app stays stuck at Loading Scenes & Accessories. I tried turning off keychain, turning it back on, but it still does the same thing.

Unbelievable that ICLOUD of all things is breaking my HomePod. You have got to be kidding me Apple. Will be returning this $400 paper weight if I don't get it sorted out by the end of the day.
