I am trying to burn a disc in a MacBook Pro mid 2012 and I keep getting this message that the disc can't be burned.
Any ideas what it is and how I can fix it?

Wrong SPEED rating on the media in use, compared to the ability of the Drive. (example: attempting to burn 8X-rated media in a 2x-rated drive)
It will NOT just downshift and do it, because that class media are actually NOT COMPATIBLE with your drive.
If all of that advanced stuff seems correct, you may need to try the simplest things, like cleaning the lens.
I can not quite read your box of discs from here. And the writing on the drive capabilities looks a little fuzzy to me.
¿Could you maybe transcribe those so I can read them better?
also. menu >about this mac > (system Report) > Disc burning ...
... and try actually doing that last line --- insert a disc and refresh the display.
what media are you using, and is it rated at the speeds the drive thinks it can burn at?

I used a bunch of them. Among them are Sony's, Verbatim etc. All of them are rated to be written at 52x speed
The disc can’t be burned, because the device failed to calibrate the laser power level for this media.
