how do you type a division sign in numbers on a mac without a numeric keyboard

I want to do a simple division in Numbers. How do I type in a divide sign. If I do alt forward slash I get a plus sign.

You use the forward slash like so: 27/3 = 9 or 3*9 = 27. The asterisk means multiply in the spreadsheet.
