Can't print to ioGear GPSU21 Print Server from OS X 10.12.6

I have an Epson WorkForce 1100 USB printer connected to my network using an ioGear GPSU21 Print Server. I can use the printer from my Linux machine and from my old Mac mini which is running 10.6.8. I can't get it to work with a Macbook (mid 2010) running 10.12.6 or and older Macbook (sometime in 2009) running 10.9.5. I initially setup the printer on the problem laptops using the sames details as the configs for the mini and Linux box. No luck. Since then I've tried setting up the Epson printer using System Prefs and using Cups. I've used all the printer protocols (socket, ipp, http) with the associated port (9100, 631). I've confirmed I have the most recent Epson drivers installed. With some configs the Log shows a successfully completed print job, but nothing has printed. Some configs show errors and some show nothing at all. NateTheNoob had asked a similar question on Oct 23, 2012 9:51 AM. Nobody answered him. His OS was 10.7.5., but I suspect my problem might be similar.
