Only a Apple employee would be able to decide that after inspecting your iPhone. This is a user-to-user technical support site. Make a Genius Appointment at your nearest Apple Store.
And I haven't seen anything that says Apple acknowledges such a problem.
It's glass, which is basically just melted sand. There are a lot of things that can scratch it. One is loose sand. Some people have been in conditions where there was loose sand blowing and found it had scratched.
Your only Apple-approved option would be to request new glass, and I believe the iPhone X requires the OLED display be replaced with it since it's kind of fused together.
A scratch isn't likely to be covered because it's considered cosmetic. The glass on an iPhone is scratch resistant to some degree, but metal or even loose sand can end up scratching it badly.
It's gasoline, which is basically just dead dinosaurs.
A bit oversimplified, you should read the Steve Jobs biography, specifically the section on Gorilla Glass and what went in to getting it ready for the first iPhone.
The iPhone screen assembly has been a one piece unit for at least 4 generations. I've been in several situations where loose sand has been blowing and never had it scratch my screen. I've also had a number of windows that have never been scratched by blowing sand, lots of it. And I already mentioned getting it looked at by Apple.
It is not just a scratch. It’s like 2cm3 where they scratch it with sandpaper. The rest of the screen no damage. Never been in a pocket with anything. It’s a shame...
