How do I add a link to a forum signature?

I am trying to add a link to a website to my signature on a forum. I have tried everything - copying and pasting an existing link, typing in the address in full etc. but although the text appears in my signature it is not clickable. This is possible (and easy) on a Windows machine - is there really no way of doing this on a Mac?

unable to create clickable image in mail app signature I can create clickable text in the Mail.app Signature editor (select the text and "Add link") but I am not able to to add a link to an image in my signature. Something I read elsewhere implied that this is as designed. Is that true? I don't see how it makes sense to allow clickable text and not clickable images...

How to add a link to an icon or image in a Mail signature I have searched endlessly and no one seems to know a way to do it. I go into Signatures, pull my social media icons in. Click on one, go to Edit - add link or CommandK and add the link. It doesn't save when I do an email. I am on a MacBook Pro - MacOS Catalina 10.15.4

There should be no difference. You might want to contact the host of the forum to find out what the issue is.

OK, thanks, I'll try contacting the forum host. I can do it with a Windows machine but it doesn't seem to be an option on a Mac.

You're welcome. It's hard to know what the problem might be without any details such as what site, which browsers you've tried etc.
