Battery drain on brand new iPhone 7 with iOS 11.2.5

I bought this brand new iPhone 7 couple of days ago and the first thing I did was to restore the phone to 11.2.5 through iTunes. The phone was shipped with 11.0, If I remember correctly.

The phone looses about 13% in 10 hours of idle overnight. I left my mobile data on. I have Whatsapp, instagram and google maps installed on my phone. Notifications are blocked, location is off, background app refresh is off, mail in manual fetch and every other possible battery tweaks. The cellular signal was about 4 bars on 3G. Turned off 4G. Still the battery drain is high.

In similar conditions, if not with more apps and notifications on, my 5s running 10.3.3 gives me more battery life.

Is something wrong with my new iPhone 7?

There is nothing wrong with your iPhone 7. I am also using iPhone 7 for the last couple of months and I had similar issues which you described. But with every update of iOS, the battery life was improved. The other thing which I noticed is, the notification setting and the accessibility settings matter a lot. Example, if you don't want to use Bluetooth for some time, instead of switching it off from the control center, prefer to go to settings and do the same operation. And iOS 10 and iOS 11 have a vast difference, so can not be compared so easily. The other factor which takes the battery is the screen of iPhone 7. Anyways, observe the changes after using this options I suggested, if you still find the same problem, go to Official Apple Service Center.
