Activity rings on iPhone app are “grayed out”

Have iPhone 6 with latest updates. Yesterday my workout stats—calories and exercise minutes—weren’t added to the activity on my watch. It only showed my normal daily stats. Opened app in iPhone, ZERO activity on the rings for yesterday or the day before, nothing. Yet the workout data is in the app, just not showing in the rings. First pic shows rings grayed out for Feb 15, 16, 17. Tapped on ring for yesterday. Second pic shows workout IS recorded for the day. Tappped on “Workouts”, then yesterday’s workout. Third pic shoes full stats are there. Fourth pic shows my watch this morning with some activity, but still nothing on the rings.

I suggest that you follow the instructions here, if necessary including unpairing and re-pairing your Apple Watch (including if your Apple Watch and/or iPhone indicate that they are connected, but do not behave accordingly):
