Why won't my iTunes library show up in iMovie

My latest iMovie my iTunes library won't open up in the side window of iMovie

Hi, Marlene,


When you click on the iTunes item in the iMovie sidebar I take it that you are getting a blank display.


If your songs are stored in the cloud, iMovie won't read them. You would need to download them to your iTunes library. Also, if they are DRM protected, you would get a little note on the bottom of the display saying X number of files are protected and unavailable. Does either of the above fit your situation?


In the meantime, try closing iMovie and opening it while holding down the Option and Command keys, and selecting to delete preferences in the box that appears. Sometimes that cures glitches.
