most recent boot rom version?

Hello. My Boot ROM version (macbookpro71; Model Mid-2010) is: MBP71.003D.B00

The Boot ROM version in the EFI Website is: MBP71.0039.B0E (EFI 2.5)

How can I tell what boot rom version is more recent?

Note: my boot rom version does not have an EFI version number).

Thanks!

MacBook Pro, macOS High Sierra (10.13.3)

From terminal you can see boot ROM version and SMC(firmware) version, copy & paste:

system_profiler SPHardwareDataType | grep -i "Version" | awk -F ':' '{print $1 $2}'

Since Mavericks— EFI firmware updates are now only distributed as part of macOS updates and upgrades. Apple does not provide them separately.

If your EFI firmware version seems out of date, download the last Combo updater for the version of macOS from Apple. Or from the >AppStore>Check for Update
