Attachments in Calendar Events

When I attach a file to an event in Calendar, the OS apparently copies the file to a folder in the Library. If I edit the original file, the changes are not viewable in the Event's Attachment. I tried attaching an alias to the Event but that didn't work either. Is there some way we can maintain a dynamic link with attachments in Calendar Events?

When you duplicate the file as an attachment, there is no way to maintain a link. You have created 2 separate files when doing that.
