Try making another admin account, boot into it, and see if it works there. You can then delete the account if desired.
Have you tried using it in another user account?

I was asking about a mac user account. What you see when you go System Preferences/Users & Groups.

I did. To no avail. I came her to see if anyone else was having the same issues. 🙄
There is no user account. I DL the software onto my laptop.
I am the admin.
