Magic Trackpad (1 & 2) don't work in Windows 10 over bluetooth

Ever since the Fall Creators update to Windows 10, I haven't been able to get Magic Trackpad (both 1 and 2) to pair properly with my 2016 Macbook Pro 15". They show up in the Add Bluetooth Devices list (sometimes), but when I try to connect, I just see running dots and they never connect. I understand from lots of forum searching that there have been loads of Bluetooth issues with the Creators Update, not just with Apple devices. Everything works fine in macOS. Magic Trackpad 2 works fine via USB, but unfortunately I like to have extra gestures set up with the ExtraMagic drivers, which only work over Bluetooth, not USB. 😟

I've tried uninstalling the bluetooth driver, updating Boot Camp drivers, unchecking "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power," blah blah, but nothing has helped.

Anyone having this issue?

Thanks!

That doesn't help either. There was a brief period this morning when all of a sudden Windows recognized my Magic Trackpad over Bluetooth. I used it for a while, then turned everything off and left the house...came back this afternoon, turned everything on, and it doesn't work anymore. Then I tried your suggestion, but it still didn't work. So frustrating.
