MacBook Pro keyboard & longer fingernails

One of the issues I keep experiencing with the new MacBook Pro keyboard ( MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2017, Two Thunderbolt 3 ports) is the thinness of the keys, in relation to how far they travel.

When I place my fingers on the keyboard, and I start to type, my fingernails (about a week's worth of nail growth) somehow get stuck or slide off the edge of the keys.

Its quite a strange feeling, not helped by how how awfully shallow the keys are.

It's gotten to the point where I'm now looking at keeping an external keyboard, which seems ridiculous to me.

The only other solution is to change my body to be able to comfortably use my favorite laptop, and to have to trim my nails on a shorter schedule than I'm used to. A bit frustrating

Are you serious?

Are you suggesting that Apple design and build their keyboards so that you don't have to trim your nails? What length mails should they design for, 1", 2" 3" longer? I think this may be the most "ridiculous", as you put it in your post, call for help I've seen in these technical help communities. 😝

You made my day. 😁
