netflix zooming

Mac Mini owner with a problem playing netflix full screen in either Safari or Chrome.

In full screen, a few seconds after you stop moving the mouse and the controls disappear the video zooms in. If you move the mouse, the controls appear and the zoom resets.

If you leave the mouse at the top of the window so the menu bars stay visible the screen does not zoom.

I have read forums and tried turning off zooming accessibility options but to no avail. Netflicks only suggests removing cookies which I have done but no luck. Restarted browser and computer, no luck.

Apple forum suggests a power saving mode to prevent graphics zoom but my mac mini does not have this.

Please help.

I have the exact same issue on my Mac mini and assumed it was from the os update I did that morning. I also use Chrome and tried Safari which had the same effect. I deleted the appropriate internet plugin which had no effect on reboot.

Netflix support said to re install Silverlight, but neither Netflix or Chrome even use Silverlight anymore and haven’t for years.

Anyway, I did manage to get it working ok on Firefox which I don’t usually use, but do now just for Netflix.

Fingers crossed it will be addressed soon.
