Apple Update for iTunes Hangs on Download

Operating System: Windows 10

Desktop: Dell Inspiron 570

ISP: Verizon FIOS

I have been unable to have Apple Update download and install iTunes version 12.7.3 for some time. The total download is listed as 264.22 MB but every time Apple Update runs the download hangs at exactly 41.90 MB! Every time!

I have tried downloading the update manually using the drop-down menu on the Apple Update dialog box, but the same infernal thing happens. I have thought about doing an uninstall and starting from scratch. But, I hesitate because this problem may prevent me from downloading and installing a fresh iTunes completely.

I have tried deleting everything from the Apple Update download folder. That was one of the listed fixes. It didn't fix the problem. I tried turning off my Zone Alarm Firewall and Anti-Virus. No joy. I have tried using different browsers as the default browser; it had no effect. So I am stumped.

Suggestions, advice, please. I will be waiting for your response.
