If you have a working iPhone, the easiest way to make a Genius Bar appointment is with the Apple Support App. I used it last week to make an appointment to take in my Mac. It took me about two minutes. When I got the store, the young man who checked me in could apparently see how I'd made the appointment. He commented that it was much easier than anything else and that not enough people knew about it.

Just curious, but what does the OP's request have to do with iPhones?

The OP's request was for suggestions on how to make a Genius Bar appointment. My post was a suggestion on how to do that. If you read the first sentence of my post, that should be clear. "If you have a working iPhone, the easiest way to make a a Genius Bar appointment is with the Apple Support App". The iPhone and the Apple Support apps are the tools you use to make a Genius Bar appointment. As I went on to explain, that is how I made the appointment when I needed to take my MacBook Pro in for repair. It seems as if, perhaps, you didn't really read my post.

Sure. But that's also available with the iPad.

However, not knowing what the OP has (other than a MBP by way of where the post was made) I would have thought the most logical suggestion would have been the Apple website.

If the OP doesn't have an iOS device, then this is what I'd suggest:

Start here: Mac - Official Apple Support (click on the blue "Get Support" button.

Go to "Mac Notebooks".

Select your issue and sub-issue.

Go to "Bring it in for Repair".

Ok, read the first sentence of my post again: "If you have a working iPhone, the easiest way to make a Genius Bar appointment is with the Apple Support App." Please note that the first clause is what, in English is called "conditional".

And, in my opinion, making the appointment using the app is easier than using the Support Site. Apparently, the folks at my local Apple Store agree with me.

Why are you even making an issue of this? I gave a very legitimate answer that the OP liked. Is it the only possible answer? No. Did anyone try to suggest you shouldn't post other answers that might also be useful?

I'm on the support app and cannot find where to make the appointment. It gives other options for support. But I want to take IPhone to Genius Bar. Can you go step-by-step. Thanks.

1) Open Support App.

2) Tap Get Support at the bottom

3) Select your device

4) Select Hardware Issues

5) Select the issue

6)Next to "Get Help", tap "See All"

7) Tap Bring in for Repair

Sorry for the delay. I took a bit of a break from the forums over the weekend. Hope you've gotten your appointment made.

I'm not angry, disappointed, etc about this. Just asking since not everyone with a MBP has an iPhone.

Nowhere did I imply that they did.
