iTunes freezing when trying to sync iPhone 7+

All of a sudden iTunes freezes when trying to sync calendars and/or contacts. Using latest version of iTunes on computer and phone, have reinstalled iTunes, and have re-started computer.

iPhone 7 Plus, iOS 11.2.6
