Keyboard Wear=Poor Quality

How best to let Apple know I'm disappointed and offended at the poor keyboard quality of the MacBook Pro 2016? Only one year old (13 months...out of "warranty") and 5 letters are worn, so the backlight shines through. They said it's wear and tear and asked if my fingertips were rough; I say it's junk quality and we pay for and expect better! I'm not a full-time tech person, just an at-home mom with normal usage. C'mon Apple...keep the quality in ALL aspects of your computers!

Just curious, but which keys?


My theory is that these heat from the CPU eventually melts the keys and/or keyboard. It can discolour the keys and damage the keyboard itself. If the keys in question just happen to be sitting on top of the CPU in your machine, that is probably the case.


For future consideration, remember that there is always a surtax to be paid on the Apple tax. Never buy a Mac, especially a new model, without AppleCare. If you are paying that much, at least get 3 years out of it.


And other thing, if this is just a cosmetic issue, don't worry about it. Apple would replace the entire keyboard. The new keyboard may be a refurbished keyboard and might have physical damage instead of cosmetic blemishes.
