Contact syncing with Facebook gone in ios11?

There used to be a setting under the Facebook app where you could sync your contacts with Facebook just to pull their photos. Now it’s gone. Good job Apple!

Google profile pics not appearing on iPad mini 1 (ios 9.3.5) Is there any way to get the contact photos to appear on my iPad in the contacts app? I have already tried using CardDav with no luck. I remember there was a period of time when the photos would show up, but i diagnosed that as hangouts bringing them in. I don't have hangouts anymore so is there any another work around?

I find the option under Internet Accounts o the MacBook.

There isn't one on the iPhone settings, but there is 'something' on the FB app that indicates "Upload Contacts" not sure what direction, it isn't clear.
