If you have multiple accounts, or if you are a Family Share organiser, look at each account's purchase history and see which it shows on : See your purchase history in the App Store or iTunes Store - Apple Support

I assumed that you had multiple accounts as you asked which email address. How have you subscribed to it ? If via your iTunes account and if it's not being recognised in their app, have you looked on the developer's website and/or contacted the developer about it ?

Do payments for it show on your iTunes account's purchase history : See your purchase history in the App Store or iTunes Store - Apple Support ? iTunes Support (we are fellow users on here, not iTunes Support nor Apple) are only likely to be able to help with purchases that show on your account, if it shows there but the app isn't recognising it : http://reportaproblem.apple.com or https://www.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html
