no more widget tab on dashboard

Trying to install addition widgets to dashboard on MacBook Pro. I bring up dashboard and click on + sign, but the more widget text doesn't appear in n bottom left corner.

Widget Issue I don't have any widgets on Dashboard. When I hit the + sign, I see a search bar, but nothing happens when I try to type in the field. How do I find items to add to the Widget dashboard? Mojave user here.

dashboard is gone in Mojave what happened to the nice feature dashboard? In high sierra, i could slide to the left to get to my stock tickers, calculator, weather app, etc but in Mojave that seems to be gone? When i take a look in the 'hot corner' section (settings > screen savers), it is still there as an option. Is this a bug?
