iPhone will no longer connect to iTunes

Have the latest versions of iOS and iTunes. My iPhone 10 always connected to iTunes on my iMac before. Tonight when I plugged the USB wire into the iPhone, the charging tone went on and off repeatedly. The message asked if I wanted to allow the phone to connect to my iMac, and If I did respond on the phone. But no windows came up on the phone and the charging tone kept sounding on and off continuously. What is wrong?

Iphone X won’t sync to Itunes My iphone x will not sync to my 2011 Macbook pro (high sierra). Connection to itunes I have iphone 7 .the problem is such that my iphone is not connecting to iTunes while i connect with my mac the phone get charged but it do not connect to iTunes .
