Photos will not sync from Imac to Ipad using Itunes

Like many ohgers on this forum, after doing the last software update, I do not seem to be able to sync the photos held in a folder called 'Photographs' on either my Ipad or that of my wife's.

Itunes will download some of the 15,000 photos and then just quit, leaving folders empty.

This method of transferring photos has worked fine for years.

Any suggestions as to how to fix this will be most welcome.

Can't access photo library in iTunes to sync to iPad I recently got a MacBook Pro and attempted to sync my photos from the photo library to the iPad via iTunes. I'm unable to to access the photo library in iTunes to sync (it's greyed out). Any ideas on how to resolve this?

Attempting to sync photos manually with iTunes but no option to select Photos application 2018 MBP macOS 10.14.6, iTunes 12.9.5.5, iPhone8 iOS 12.4.1... the only option for "Copy photos from" is a Pictures folder and unable to select the Photos application. Why is there no option to sync directly from Photos?
