My fix for oversized trackpad

The new trackpad was just too large for me, I was constantly clicking it with my palm. I made a keyboard wrap out of carbon fiber vinyl and cut it as seen. The part of the trackpad under the vinyl is far less sensitive than the bare pad. I no longer have issues with false clicks on the trackpad. Just wanted to share with the community as I never found a solution like this anywhere on the internet. Hope it helps!

Thanks, I had read this somewhere before trying out the vinyl solution. You might not be able to tell in my picture, but I have a plastic case on my MacBook and the bottom piece has two raised nubs on the bottom side of the trackpad. These nubs are what locks the bottom piece of the cover to the bottom case of the MacBook. These nubs also prevent the screen from contacting the surface of the palm rest areas. There is plenty of clearance between the screen and the vinyl, when the lid is closed.
