Free system capacities but low performance

Dear Community

Our machine is operating very slowly. Already starting up may takes a few minutes. Exhausted cpu oder memory capacity don’t seem to be the problem on a first sight. Still there are some processes needing relatively much performance on my impression. More as a note, we also have installed parallels desktop to use windows software. During usage of parallels desktop, the performance is very low. Anyhow, I do have the impression something is braking the system permanentely. Hope to figure out what it is.

Below you'll find our EtreCheck report.

Many thanks in advance.

Rico

Your computer has CleanMyMac installed on it, most experienced users on these forums consider CMM as malware. Please locate the developers instructions for uninstalling it and use them. Mac OS is extremely secure and does not require any third party cleaning, antivirus or any other "maintenance" applications. If simply kept up-to-date and otherwise left alone most users experience is Mac OS will run reliably for many years.

Please also note, your 21.5" iMac is a basic model machine that has limitations including a very slow 5400 RPM HD and only 8GB of RAM. While both can be upgraded this should be done by an Apple Authorized Service Provider in your area, Apple Stores will not do these upgrades but a third party may. I recommend an Apple Authorized Service Provider rather than doing it yourself as 2012 and later iMacs are extremely difficult to work on, if you would like to see what I mean please navigate to www.ifixit.com or www.macsales.com and you can find teardown and upgrade instructions.
