Question: Could Not invite <email address> because the Apple ID is not registered with iCloud

Every time I invite my wife to share Home access, I get this error message. This email is registered with iCloud. It allows me to share access with my son who is running an iPhone X. My wife runs an iPhone 5s so is quite old, but still running the most up to date iOS.


I found various posts stating the issue has been communicated to 9to5 Mac in December and that it would be fixed in a software update later that month, which seems to have been rolled out and fixed some people’s problems. Not mine.


Please help.

As stated in original post. All iOS versions are the most up to date which was the fix in the post referenced above. I also state that I have looked at previous posts and can see that it has fixed other people’s issues. But not my own.
