Question: Update Apple ID Settings and red alert circle won't go away

Hi. In my iPhone X (iOs 11.2.6) settings, right under my name, it says "Update Apple ID Settings". Next to that is a red circle with 1 inside it. When I hit the button, it prompts me to enter my Apple ID password, which I do. This seems to fix the issue, because the message/red circle disappears for a short period of time. Eventually, the red circle and Update Apple ID Settings appears again. I've gone through the process many times but it seems to be stuck in a loop. I saw that other people had this same question earlier this year, but I didn't see any solutions. Anyone have any suggestions? Thank you.

ceb99999,

Hmm, we need more information. Is there any other highlighted messages?

Perhaps your Payment information needs updating or iCloud backups are failing due to lack of space.

Are there any red icons under Settings > General? Perhaps a Software Update?

Is there anything else that you can see?
